Purpose and Scope

Provides direction and oversight as the Manager for multiple practice operations across multiple sites. Responsible for monitoring service agreements, advocating for the client, and facilitating the client’s governing body. Manages all operational activities, including ancillary services and initial setup for new practices. Acts as the primary spokesperson for external entities and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as regulatory and certification requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement the client’s mission and strategic plan.
  2. Design organizational structure for productivity, quality, and cost control.
  3. Monitor financial health through staffing and financial controls.
  4. Set up programs and systems for new practices.
  5. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  6. Represent the practice with external organizations and agencies.
  7. Develop and monitor business plans.
  8. Report financial performance monthly to management and owners.
  9. Support internal controls for cash management and payroll compliance.
  10. Oversee revenue cycle management and analyze key benchmarks.
  11. Manage staffing strategies, including recruitment and performance evaluation.
  12. Recommend salary and benefits structures.
  13. Oversee IT plans covering EHR, security, and communications.
  14. Evaluate staffing and patient flow for efficiency.
  15. Report on patient satisfaction and quality management.
  16. Communicate practice issues proactively to senior management.
  17. Share best practices and experiences with other directors.
  18. Consult on specialty practice management topics.
  19. Assist with various projects as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Work at client locations, involving travel and overnight stays.
  • Flexible meeting times to accommodate patient care schedules.
Supervision

May supervise various levels of management staff.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required; postgraduate education in healthcare or business preferred.

Experience and Skills
  • 2-3 years’ experience as Practice Coordinator/Lead or supervisory experience.
  • Physician practice management skills preferred.
  • Experience with billing, coding, and practice management systems.
  • Proficiency in Office applications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of autonomy and accountability.
