Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking an Office Manager to lead a fast-paced outpatient practice in Hampton Roads, VA. You will drive operations, coach staff, and foster a patient-centered culture.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, effective communication, and daily problem-solving to ensure smooth clinic performance. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to staff development, all while maintaining HIPAA

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As an Office Manager, you'll serve as the operational and cultural leader of the practice—leading by example and setting the standard for excellence.

Leadership & Customer Experience

• Champion a patient-centered culture by modeling outstanding customer service
• Train, develop, and engage staff to ensure a welcoming experience for every patient
• Maintain strong team morale through active engagement and recognition

Communication

• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, staff, and leadership
• Participate in regional manager meetings and lead daily huddles and monthly staff/provider meetings
• Proactively partner with the Regional Manager, meeting reporting deadlines and presenting solutions-not just problems

Day-to-Day Operations

• Oversee daily clinic operations as a hands-on, working manager
• Support providers and staff to ensure operational and performance expectations are met
• Manage staff schedules and overtime
• Oversee inventory control and daily receipts/collections
• Ensure provider schedules are accurate, efficient, and fully optimized
• Implement new company initiatives at the practice level
• Troubleshoot issues and make timely, solution-focused decisions

• Familiarity with insurance plans and policies
• Experience training and developing team members
