Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Conduit Intelligence in San Francisco is seeking its first Office Manager to run our in-person office full-time. This role supports researchers and participants in a small, early-stage lab focused on brain-computer interfaces, ensuring a productive and welcoming environment for day one.
You'll handle office operations, payroll basics, vendor coordination, guest access, and team events, while keeping the space organized and the team supported.
We are a small team working on non-invasive brain-computer interfaces, starting with a headset that helps turn thought into text. It's early, hard research, and we're working on it together in San Francisco.
That work happens in our San Francisco office: research, engineering, and the data collection sessions that train our models. We're hiring our first Office Manager to run it, full-time and in person.
We're a team that takes pride in operational excellence. When the office runs well, researchers stay focused, participants have a great experience, and new teammates are productive on day one. When it doesn't, everything slows down.
This role is what keeps it running well. We treat it as core to the company, and you'll work directly with the founding team.
At its heart, this role is about care. You'll get to know the people here, notice what they need, and look after the space as if it were your own. If making a place feel welcoming and well run is something you take pride in, we'd love to meet you.
Keep food, snacks, and supplies stocked, and set up a simple way for people to request things.
Manage cleaning, vendors, inventory, and device tracking.
Own upkeep of the space: furniture, internet, utilities, keys and building access, air and temperature.
Greet guests, candidates, and research participants, and set up a guest-access system for the office.
Make each teammate's day-to-day setup smooth, from a new hire's first morning to small preferences.
Notice what's broken or unsystematized and fix it.
Run payroll and similar important administrative work.
Coordinate the hiring process: schedule interviews, host candidates on site, and keep them updated.
Plan team events and offsites.
Help make our data collection sessions a delightful experience for the participants who come in.
Proactive. You notice things before they become problems, and you'd rather fix something than report it.
Warm and caring. People are glad when you walk in, and you treat everyone the same, from visitors to the CEO.
Proud of your work. You care about the details, including the parts of the job that feel small.
Organized. You keep many small threads moving without dropping any of them.
