The National Labor Relations Board seeks an Office Manager in Buffalo to support an executive office with administrative control, budget oversight, travel coordination, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will maintain operational efficiency, provide senior-level support to a regional manager, and demonstrate strong communication and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced government setting.

This position is located in a Regional, Subregional or Resident Office of the National Labor Relations Board. The incumbent will assist with the administrative management for the office, including the implementation of government regulations and Agency policies, programs concerning personnel administration, budget control, travel and other areas of administrative management.

The Ideal Candidate for the Office Manager position has experience maintaining the operational controls and efficiencies of an office. The candidate has experience providing senior level administrative support to a senior manager/supervisor and can form interpersonal relationships within organizational units. The ideal candidate has exemplary communication skills and can survey operations to ensure the effectiveness of processes. Good judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to understand of policies, procedures, and practices of a highly functional office is essential.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which has provided them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the Office Manager at the GS-09 grade level.
Specialized experience includes:
OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

All agency employees must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year of experience at the GS-07 or equivalent grade level of the federal service, is required to qualify for this position.
