Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Office Engineer to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team. You will help oversee transportation projects from pre-construction through finalization, with emphasis on quantity tracking, documentation, and coordination with state and local agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of transportation construction experience preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• NICET III or IV certification preferred.
• Comfortable with using computers and adapting to new software.
• Strong communication and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all project records, daily work reports and correspondence per owner guidance.
• Track quantities and process monthly progress estimates/payments using relevant software.
• Review and track submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Initiate and track change orders and assist in claim resolution.
• Coordinate with state/local agencies and other stakeholders; maintain meeting minutes.
• Schedule material testing and maintain acceptance records.
• Ensure compliance with EEO/DBE and trainee requirements and contractor payroll/insurance.
• Assist in assembling final project documentation on completion.
