Salary Range: $60.00 - $62.00 Hourly

Description

The Role

The Office Engineer/Inspector is responsible for providing office engineering and inspection services for the construction of pre-engineered metal buildings, demolition of existing storage buildings, and miscellaneous work for this NJTA project on the Garden State Parkway.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Maintain daily records and equipment records via NJTA CapEx Manager.
• Submit daily reports and weekly quantity summaries.
• Track quantities and costs, review traffic protection measures, and review submittals.
• Attend meetings and conduct materials testing.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree
• ACI – Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
• NICET Level III or equivalent based on education and experience

Technical Skills:

• NJTA Capex Software
• Microsoft Office

Preferred Certifications:

• Traffic Control Coordinator Certification
• Previous Experience with NJTA

Soft Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Perform additional project control duties as required
