Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a CEI, Construction Engineering Office Engineer for our Transportation department in Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contract documents, reviewing contractor submissions, and managing project documentation. The role also coordinates material sampling/testing, supports field inspection teams, and communicates with project stakeholders to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and CE&I level credentials or NICET Level 2 with at least 2 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements through review of contractor submissions.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs/RFCs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders.
• Coordinate material sampling and testing to CTDOT standards; track certifications and test results.
• Assist in coordinating project schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining construction records.
• Support field inspection teams with technical guidance and issue resolution; communicate with stakeholders.

Job description
