Job summary

STV is seeking a Construction Inspector for our Transportation Northeast department in Hartford, CT. You will inspect highway/bridge, facilities, and rail/transit construction, ensuring compliance with project documents and regulatory requirements while reviewing contractor submittals.

You will document nonconforming work, manage RFIs and daily reports, and maintain progress photos and quantities. A NICET certification and CTDOT CEI knowledge help ensure accurate field measurements and timely

Qualifications

• NICET Level 1 with 4 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection.
• Strong understanding of CTDOT CEI processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred a degree in Civil Engineering

• Working knowledge of COMPASS and AASHTOWare Project
• NETTCP - Concrete Inspector, ACI - Concrete Certification, NETTCP - HMA Paving Inspector, NACE, AMP, or BCI - Coating Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certifications.

Compensation Range

$84,466.00 - $95,984.00
