BENCHMARK is looking for an Office Coordinator in Myrtle Beach, SC, to manage office communications and facilitate departmental tasks. The role requires a background in facility maintenance and/or construction office administration.

Position Overview

The Office Coordinator is responsible for managing office communications and facilitating key departmental tasks and procedures. The role requires a background in facility maintenance and/or construction office administration.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain departmental checkbook, accurately record all expenses, and prepare month‑end reporting.
  • Prepare and submit invoices for all billable work performed by the engineering department, ensuring timely posting to owner accounts.
  • Assist with weekly payroll reporting to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Order inventory and supplies to maintain established par levels on a monthly basis, sourcing custom parts to reduce downtime on guest units and equipment.
  • Coordinate procurement proposals and select bids for third‑party contractors required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Schedule third‑party contractors and communicate scheduled work with all necessary resort departments.
  • Maintain and file all state‑required inspections and coordinate vendor schedules to keep the resort compliant.
  • Manage state elevator inspections, alarm panel and fire suppression system documentation, balcony certificates, health inspections, pest control, grease trap servicing, kitchen hood cleaning, equipment service contracts, and other facility maintenance contracts.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of resort operations support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency in Office 360 and a keystroke speed of at least 50 words per minute without errors.
Working Conditions

Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment; operate standard office equipment; sit for extended periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; read printed materials and screen content; communicate verbally and over the phone; work in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures and humidity; schedule may vary during operational needs; not a remote position.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20.00 – $25.00. Other benefits include low‑cost medical, dental, vision plans; paid life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; paid time off; holidays; 401(k) with up to 100% match; commuter and toll programs; employee meal program.
