OverviewThe Office Coordinator and Coder maintains a good attitude, strong, dependable work ethic, and uses excellent communication and organizational skills to oversee office/clinic system, ensuring efficient, effective, and patient-sensitive operations.Shift: 32 hours/weekSchedule: DaysEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains/updates physician files.Maintains secretarial/organizational skills at high level.Maintains monthly patients/procedure information file for data collections/reporting and dissemination of same to appropriate personnel according to guidelines.Responsible for coding of all surgeries/visits under physician directionsMaintains high level of communication skills as well as computer/word processing skills.Education and ExperienceAssociate degree/medical secretary or 2 years of coding experienceTwo years physician office experience or two to three years medical related office/supervisor experienceSkills and AbilitiesExcellent interpretive and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detailSpecial Physical DemandsManual dexterity to operate office equipment. This position requires the employee to frequently sit, handle, finger, feel, reach, talk, and hear. This position requires the employee to occasionally stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance. This job requires the employee to exert up to 25 lbs of force occasionally.
