About us
Dark Blue Technologies is a Michigan managed IT and cybersecurity provider. Our sister company, Wolverine Low Voltage, handles cabling, cameras and access control. We're a small, efficient crew that supports businesses across the state. We need someone to run our office so our techs and leadership can stay focused on clients.
What matters most to us
Attitude comes first. We'd rather hire someone positive, coachable and eager to help than someone with a perfect résumé. You'll be the first voice our clients and vendors hear, and you'll set the tone for our office every day.
What success looks like in this role
- You own your recurring tasks. Weekly reports, filing and follow-ups get done on schedule without anyone having to remind you.
- You close the loop. When you're handed something, you confirm you understand it, finish it, and report back when it's done.
- You ask questions early. If a request isn't clear, you ask before you start, not after it's late or done wrong.
- You keep the office professional. You follow office policies and represent the company well to everyone who calls or walks in.
What you'll do
Front office & administration
- Answer and route calls, take accurate messages, and greet clients, vendors and visitors.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, shipments and deliveries.
- Keep paper and electronic files, contact lists and office records organized.
- Order and restock office supplies; run occasional local errands (bank, post office, suppliers).
Operations support
- Receive equipment shipments and match packing slips to purchase orders. Flag anything missing or wrong.
- Collect and file job paperwork: packing slips, delivery confirmations, signed work orders and closeout documents.
- Do data entry in QuickBooks, our ticketing system and SharePoint.
- Handle vendor and client paperwork requests (W-9s, certificates of insurance, company info forms).
- Follow up on open requests and route issues to the right person.
Workplace & team
- Coordinate office equipment, vendors and service calls.
- Plan simple team events, recognition and company apparel orders.
- Build checklists and templates for repeat tasks, and look for ways to make the office run smoother.
What we're looking for
- A great attitude: positive, reliable and team-first.
- 1+ years in office administration, reception or customer service.
- Strong organization and follow-through.
- Professional on the phone and in email.
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and willing to learn new systems.
- Discretion with client, employee and financial information.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bonus: interest in technology, or experience at an IT company, a contractor or a trades business.
Room to grow
We're a small team, so whoever takes this seat gets real exposure to IT. You'll see how a managed services company runs: help desk tickets, client onboarding, device setup, and cabling, camera and access control projects. If you're curious about technology and want to grow into it, we'll invest in you.
What we offer
- Paid holidays
- Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm. Off in time to enjoy your evenings.
- A small team where your work is visible and matters
- A real path into IT for the right person
