Job summary

Garner Cleaning Service is hiring a reliable cleaner to join our Southern Illinois team. The role requires executing general cleaning tasks across client sites with minimal supervision and occasionally leading others on job sites. A criminal background check is required, and prior cleaning experience is preferred.

Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.

Experience: Candidates with prior cleaning experience will be prioritized over those with no experience.

Garner Cleaning Service has been servicing Southern Illinois since 1996.

We are a family-owned business with 30+ team members.

The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, able to lead others on job sites, solve problems, and create successful outcomes.

The tasks required include general cleaning, including, but not limited to trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, and conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; and other duties as assigned. Specific duties may vary depending on the List of Specifications required by the client at each location.

$18.00 up to $20.00 per hour

Path to Promotion:

Paid Time Off: After 90 days, earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.

Training: Garner Cleaning Service will train the employee on the proper guidelines, procedures, and use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.

Other Requirements:

Transportation: Successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle or transportation to get to job sites. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license.

Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.
