Primary Purpose

The Office Assistant role is to perform various routine administrative duties and manage the daily operations of Peck Street to ensure efficiency, hospitality, and support the departments and the organization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Administrative Support
  • Answer direct client arrivals and assist to necessary persons in the agency.
  • Organize Operations team calendars and schedule appointments as necessary.
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
  • Owns front office operations (café, general supplies assistance).
Customer Service
  • Serves as the front office receptionist welcome and direct visitors and clients.
  • Notify appropriate staff of the arrival of their visitor or client.
  • Creative and solution-oriented thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage the post service, handle the incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Perform clerical duties, manage electronic and manual file systems, and prepare internal and external correspondence and reports.
  • Update and organize the N-Drive, paper files and administrative systems to make them more efficient.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • An associate degree in a related field is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, great at multitasking, creative, and has excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
