Job Summary
Performs basic routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes clerical duties such as copying, scanning, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, distributing mail and ordering supplies. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems. Will also function as liaison for the Remote Patient Monitoring program and all its requirements and functions.
Essential Functions
Performs basic routine clerical duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, scanning and ordering supplies.
May prepare documents/records to scan into appropriate system, indexing for retrieval.
Prepares forms and verifies information as appropriate.
Performs special projects as assigned with specific direction which may include data entry into applicable system or basic research of records.
Types and proofreads standard correspondence, reports and other documents as applicable by department. May compile and maintain records. Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information as applicable by department in a manner consistent with department standards.
Will document in Epic Hyperspace appropriate notes of patient care or interaction based on service or care being provided at the time (for VNA Remote Patient Monitoring Team only).
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
1 year of relevant experience typing
