Job summary

The Goddard School of Peoria, located at 8348 W. Deer Valley Road, seeks an Office Assistant to support school operations by splitting time between the classroom and office. The workday runs from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in early education, a CDA or AA in Early Education, and a valid Level One fingerprint clearance. A Food Handler's Card and CPR/First Aid training are required after hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education
• Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices, team leadership and classroom management
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• A genuine love for children and commitment to providing high-quality education
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements

The Goddard School of Peoria (8348 W. Deer Valley Road) is looking for an Office Assistant at our School!

This role splits time between the classroom and office as needed to support school operations. The shift for this position is from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you will support the Education Director and Operations Manager with administrative tasks and in maintaining compliance with licensing requirements and fostering positive relationships with families and the community. You will also spend time in the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years working in early education as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Given the responsibilities of this role, a minimum CDA or AA in Early Education and a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card are required prior to hire. This position will also need a Food Handler's Card and CPR/First Aid training, which is a requirement that can be fulfilled after hire.
