Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Lead Qualified or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Previous experience with young children in a licensed childcare/preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in handling children.
• Must pass state background checks and meet credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning Curriculum.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean, inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about child’s progress and activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations.

The Goddard School® located at: 727 N Milwaukee, Chicago IL, 60642, is seeking a motivated and caring Founding Assistant Teacher!
