Valley Health Systems, Inc. seeks an Office Assistant for its Orthopedics & Sports Center Practice in Western Massachusetts.
The role supports providers and staff with patient scheduling, registration, billing, and high-level customer service while maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating demographics, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-ups, processing orders, and maintaining electronic medical records with strong attention to detail.
Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.

Our Orthopedics & Sports Center Practice is seeking an Office Assistant to coordinate and perform all administrative functions to ensure the efficient daily operation of the office, providing comprehensive support to providers and staff including managing patient scheduling, registration, billing, customer service, and general administrative duties while maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional patient service.
High School Graduate or GED
Two years’ experience in a physician's office or similar environment; experience in Spanish/English medical/health interpreting preferred; experience working with third party payors and working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills with strong attention to detail. Proficient in computer applications, typing, transcription, and filing, with the ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
