Qualifications

• Accounting experience is required; accounting education preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate user of Excel.
• Ability to ten-key by touch.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to prioritize duties to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workflow for office staff.
• Assist staff with accounting functions and coach if needed.
• Supervise file organization.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Perform and supervise bookkeeping functions, A/R and A/P, GL entries, deposits and receipts, DMV documents.
• Reconcile schedules, adjust accounts, resolve credit issues.
• Review finance contracts for proper submission.
• Maintain petty cash and check approval.
• Other accounting functions and general office duties.
