Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk at Stateville Correctional Center NRC in Joliet, IL. The role includes maintaining offender health records, retrieving records for appointments, filing data, and initiating records for intakes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or above, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to obtain security clearance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a later shift as listed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree required or preferred
• RHIA/RHIT certification preferred but not required
• Prior experience with medical records and services
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required or active
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Maintains offender health records and files data
• Retrieves health records for scheduled appointments
• Initiates records for new or transferred intakes
• Reviews records for completeness and prepares reports as needed
