Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Medical Records Clerk at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, Illinois. The role involves maintaining offender health records, retrieving records for appointments, and initiating records for new intakes.

CPR/BLS certification is required and an ability to obtain security clearance is necessary. High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree is required, with RHIA/RHIT certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen & criminal background check)
• Prior experience with medical records and services
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
• RHIA/RHIT certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Maintain offender health records and file offender health data.
• Retrieve health records for scheduled appointments.
• Initiate records for new or transferred intakes.
• Review records for completeness and file records as required.
• Prepare reports as needed and ensure compliance with standards.
