Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking an operations associate to oversee offal screening, DAF, sludge handling, and chemical mixing/injection systems. The role requires adherence to PPE, company policies, and regulatory guidelines, along with night and weekend availability.

You will coordinate with drivers, maintain equipment, and support safety and environmental programs. The position emphasizes mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced poultry production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with pumps, valves and irrigation systems.
• Able to drive a tractor with a valid GA driver license.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to drive jockey truck.
• Ability to work alone and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates offal equipment and machinery such as tumble screens, augers, pumps, motors, dewatering equipment, compressors, chemical feed equipment.
• Drives jockey truck to move full and empty trailers and tankers.
• Monitors mechanical waste water equipment such as meters, pumps, motors, electrical, pivots, etc.
• Measures and monitors waste water chemicals such as santiquan, polymer, and caustics.
• Washing soaps, etc.
• Performs cleanup and housekeeping tasks for assigned work area, tools, equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Works with third party drivers to coordinate pick-up and delivery times of loaded and empty trailers and tankers.
• Bail and compact cardboard as requested.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Safety & Environmental Manager
