Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a dedicated operations technician to oversee the offal screening, DAF, sludge dewatering, and chemical mixing/injection systems. The role requires strict PPE usage and compliance with NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and all applicable laws, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will monitor equipment, coordinate with third-party drivers, perform routine cleaning, and assist in maintaining efficient, compliant wastewater and processing operations across

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with pumps, valves, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain safety.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Valid GA driver license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates offal equipment and machinery such as tumble screens, augers, pumps, motors, dewatering equipment, compressors, chemical feed equipment, etc.
• Observes the fill level on trailers and tankers
• Drives jockey truck to move full and empty trailers and tankers
• Monitors mechanical waste water equipment such as meters, pumps, motors, electrical, pivots, etc.
• Measures and monitors waste water chemicals such as santiquan, polymer, and caustics. Washing soaps, etc.
• Performs cleanup and housekeeping tasks for assigned work area, tools, equipment, facilities, and grounds (i.e. walls and ceiling in receiving area, outside offal area, offal hole near open top, etc.)
• Works with third party drivers to coordinate the pick-up and delivery times of loaded and empty trailers and tankers
• Bail and compact cardboard as requested
• Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Safety & Environmental Manager
