The University of Georgia Libraries are seeking a Limited Term Repository (Off-site) Stacks Specialist to support the remote storage facility in Athens, GA. The role includes shelving, accessioning, pulling items for circulation, and assisting with training student workers.

This full-time, Mon-Fri position begins 09/21/2026, with a typical 8am–5pm schedule, benefits eligibility, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a warehouse-like environment near Whitehall Rd and Milledge Ave.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications: One year of experience in a library, warehouse, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Shelves and densifies incoming and existing materials; unload pallets and build shelves.
• Accessions items into storage inventory management system (CaiaSoft).
• Assist with incoming circulation and document delivery requests; circulate items in CaiaSoft and scan requests.
• Supervise and train student assistants on accessioning and circulation of materials.
