Job summary

Seagate Technology in Normandale is seeking a hands-on Wafer Process Development engineer to support and maintain cutting-edge wafer processes. You will gain exposure to deposition, etch, CMP and photolithography, analyze data, and troubleshoot on the factory floor while coordinating experiments with a seasoned team.

The role requires a 12-hour off-shift schedule (3 days on/4 days off or 4 days on/3 days off) Thursday-Sunday, 3:30 PM to 3:30 AM, in a cleanroom environment and is ideal for

Qualifications

• Exposure to semiconductor processes such as lithography, etch, plating, film deposition or metrology.
• Familiarity with coding or scripting for data analysis and automation
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain processes for our latest designs during off-shift hours.
• Gain exposure to cleanroom technologies across deposition, etch, CMP, and photolithography.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to address operational issues, optimize wafer flows, and reduce cycle time and scrap.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and specialists from diverse backgrounds.
• Investigate root causes of process failures, coordinate experiments, and perform data analysis.
• Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of process issues on the factory floor.
