Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a well-established Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The role focuses on supervising second and third shifts across multiple production lines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong automotive manufacturing background, be able to lead teams, drive safety and quality, and manage production metrics and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, Tier 1.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and hold employees accountable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple lines during 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address challenges.
• Monitor metrics such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and OEE.
• Manage attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Support continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate updates and shift performance to plant leadership.
