The role requires operating excavator, dozer, track hoe, loader, haul truck, skid steer, and other heavy equipment, on ground and in the plant, with a strong safety focus. Entry level wages start at $21.00 per hour, with higher pay for skilled operators and overtime; Rogers Group offers medical and retirement benefits, paid holidays, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Two years of proficient experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience operating excavator, dozer, trackhoe, loader, haul truck, skid steer, and others.
• Willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and tolerate loud noises.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Provide valid I-9 documentation.

Rogers Group is seeking candidates for an Equipment Operator position for our Virginia SMA operations in Staunton, VA. The successful candidate for this role will have experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment – excavator, dozer, track hoe, loader, haul truck, and skid steer, and others. This individual will also be required to work on the ground and in the plant. They must have a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Job Details

• Wages starting at $21.00 for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train.
• Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with quarry and mining experience. Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.

Job Responsibilities

• Willing and able to work on the ground and in the plant as needed.
• Able and willing to assist with fixed plant maintenance.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment with precision and excellence in a variety of terrains and conditions.
• Performing various production duties.
• Complete required daily inspections, light maintenance, greasing, and fueling of heavy equipment.
• May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
