Job Description

We are seeking an Off Premise Beer Sales Representative for our Virginia Beach, VA territory. The role focuses on ensuring the success of sales, volume growth, brand presence, and accelerating momentum for our premium brand within a dedicated territory. A high emphasis is placed on increasing product availability and visibility through distribution, display execution, and cooler resets. The Representative will build strong relationships with distributor personnel to ensure market goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Regular travel within a dedicated 200‑mile radius to call on multiple distributor territories.
• Extended travel (up to 75% of time) to additional markets in support of distributor crew drives.
• Take a data‑driven approach to identify new distribution opportunities, upsell, secure multiple SKU distribution, and enhance cooler visibility and displays.
• Establish and maintain a regular weekly schedule of account appointments, including sales calls and distributor work‑withs.
• Develop creative solutions to meet account‑specific needs identified during sales calls.
• Work closely with local distributor managers and personnel to collaborate on goals and objectives and ensure proper product inventory.
• Maintain store shelf standards and inventory, including product rotation, checking date codes, processing restocks and reorders according to planogram standards; execute point‑of‑sale (POS) programs to standard.
• Promote our premium brands through special events, sampling, and education.
• Maintain open communication with field and headquarters.
• Manage budget and maintain records for monthly reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations.

Physical Demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping to arrange and display point of sale.
• Frequent lifting and moving cases of product and other objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated sales experience, preferably in beers, wines, and spirits.
• Previous retail or off‑premise work experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must live in the assigned territory with reliable transportation – a large vehicle preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle with a clean driving record/background check.
• Ability to lift and move cases of product frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop for point‑of‑sale display.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Administrative task management with attention to meeting agency compliance guidelines and standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation range for this position is between $45,000.00 and $55,000.00 annually. Salary decisions depend on prior employment history, job‑related skills, length of service, brand program, and geographic location. This classification is bonus‑eligible, with potential bonus subject to applicable plans and conditions. The role offers incentive opportunities and full benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and more.
