Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN is seeking a Customer Engineering Product Specialist to partner with OEM customers and internal teams to deliver critical product data, installation requirements, and technical guidance for successful equipment integration and performance.

You will influence product selection and system design, drive improvements in installation quality, and act as the primary technical liaison to ensure customer needs are reflected in development and program decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a STEM field is required.
• Post-graduate (Master's) degree may be required for select roles.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience is required.
• Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Subject Matter Experts, VPI teams, and OEM customers to deliver product data and guidance.
• Influence OEM machine quality, reliability, and optimization through product selection and system design decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in installation quality and engineering processes using tools like Advisor, COLS, and GCE.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, handling specifications, product changes, and complex installation issues.
