Job summary

Cox Automotive's Manheim Tampa location seeks a Quality Control Body Repair Tech II to ensure OEM quality on repaired panels. You will buff, polish, and refine finishes, following SOPs and safety practices while inspecting for color match and texture.

Ideal candidates have buffing or body shop experience, a valid respirator fit test, and a paint certification. This on-site role includes benefits and a schedule that supports a consistent daytime shift.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of buffing experience or body shop experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid respirator fit test may be required.
• Paint training certification as defined in HAPS 6H regulation.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect refinished panels for color match and finish; report issues to management.
• Prepare surface for buffing using proper finish sanding products and techniques per SOP.
• Restore refinish panels to OEM quality using rotary buffer and defined polishing compounds.
• Inspect remaining surfaces for overspray and remove as needed.
• Remove and clean residue from buffed panels; confirm finish quality.
• Demonstrate safety by following health procedures and supporting Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
