Warehouse support staff are responsible for receiving, logging, and distributing both quality and non-quality procured items. Duties include performing complex receipt inspections on quality-related items to ensure compliance with specified standards. Staff must maintain consumable inventory levels in outlying areas and conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock accuracy and availability.
Accurate data entry and scanning are essential for record retention and tracking the movement of goods. Adherence to safety protocols and proper handling procedures is expected at all times to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Responsibility for customer service is also included, which involves assisting internal and external customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues related to material distribution, and ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities involve distributing spares and consumables as needed throughout the facility. Staff are required to load and unload delivery trucks, including box and flatbed types, and safely operate forklifts and delivery vehicles. The role demands the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
