The position is overtime eligible under FLSA, with a one-year probation for new bargaining-unit hires. Candidates must have 24 months of automotive repair experience or 12 months as an ODOT Mechanic Trainee, and must hold a valid CDL if required by vehicle size.

Qualifications

• 24 mos. exp. in automotive repair & maintenance of variety of vehicles &/or all types of equipment identified by agency.
• Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Ohio revised code.
• Or 12 months as ODOT Mechanic Trainee with CDL if applicable.

Responsibilities

• You will perform minor repairs or other related mechanical work.
• You will perform preventative maintenance and service on cars, trucks, and equipment. You will maintain records of repairs & maintenance.
