Job summary

Precisionstaffingusa is seeking an experienced OD Manual Grinder to operate manual grinding equipment to grind outside diameter of metal components, including shafts and bolts. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision grinding equipment and measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include operating OD and cylindrical grinders, setting up and adjusting equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual OD/cylindrical grinding preferred.
• Experience grinding shafts, bolts, or similar components.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and understand tolerances.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Manufacturing or metalworking background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual OD/cylindrical grinding machines.
• Grind the outside diameter of shafts, bolts, and other round metal components.
• Set up and adjust grinding equipment as needed.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
• Maintain tight dimensional tolerances and required surface finishes.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain proper dimensions.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
