The Role

A Visionworks OD Coordinator is the face of our Exam Practice, dedicated to ensuring a positive patient journey. Responsibilities include assisting with training and scheduling OD Techs, managing patient records, guiding patients through eye exams, and supporting store operations related to vision care services.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate patient records prior to preliminary testing.
2. Introduce patients to the OD and communicate essential information.
3. Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor and inform staff to recommend suitable products/services.
4. Support daily operational activities such as inventory restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones.
5. Count daily revenue for the optometrist and prepare deposits.
6. Prepare technician work schedules based on patient and doctor demand.

Qualifications

1. Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
2. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3. Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.

Additional Information

Position is entry level, full-time, within the retail industry. Compensation ranges from $11.86 to $16.01 per hour, with potential bonuses, equity, and commissions based on experience and other factors.
