The Role:

The Visionworks OD Coordinator is the face of our exam practice, ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities include assisting with training and scheduling OD Techs, understanding eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products/services, and managed vision care. The OD Coordinator guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records prior to preliminary testing.
• Introduce patients to the OD and provide relevant information.
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, supporting product and service recommendations.
• Support daily operational activities such as restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones to enhance patient experience.
• Count daily revenue for the optometrist and prepare deposits.
• Prepare technician work schedules based on patient and doctor demand.

Qualifications:

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.

The compensation range is listed above and may vary by market. Actual pay will depend on experience and other factors. The role may include bonuses, equity, and commissions.
