Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a skilled PRN Pain Registered Nurse to support the Pain Center recovery areas.

The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and education through the pre-operative and post-operative recovery process. The ideal candidate has an Oklahoma RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 1 year in hospital nursing; PACU or pain management experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required prior to clinical start
• Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience preferred
• Experience in PACU, Phase II, or pain management strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures per hospital policy
• Administer and monitor pain management interventions
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications and expected outcomes
• Assess patients and ensure admission criteria are met
• Provide patient/family education regarding procedures and expectations
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
• Respond to emergencies using ACLS/PALS protocols
• Maintain supplies and medication safety and equipment readiness
• Support pain center recovery areas in a fast-paced perioperative setting

About The Role

OCOM is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Pain Registered Nurse to support our Pain Center recovery areas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the pre-operative and recovery process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is confident in pain management, post-procedural care, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Operative & Pain Management Care

• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with hospital policies
• Administer and monitor pain management interventions
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medications, including actions, side effects, and expected outcomes
• Assess patients and ensure admission criteria are met
• Provide clear education to patients and families regarding procedures and expectations
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using ACLS/PALS protocols
• Maintain supplies, medication safety, and equipment readiness

Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

Experience
