Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is looking for a PRN Pain Registered Nurse to join the OCOM team. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, administering pain management, and educating patients and families. Candidates should hold an active RN license in Oklahoma and have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The ideal nurse thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong clinical judgment. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in PACU, Phase II, or pain management strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with hospital policies.
• Administer and monitor pain management interventions.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medications, including actions, side effects, and expected outcomes.
• Assess patients and ensure admission criteria are met.
• Provide clear education to patients and families regarding procedures and expectations.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using ACLS/PALS protocols.

About the Role

OCOM is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Pain Registered Nurse to support our Pain Center recovery areas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the pre‑operative and recovery process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment and is confident in pain management, post‑procedural care, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with hospital policies
• Administer and monitor pain management interventions
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medications, including actions, side effects, and expected outcomes
• Assess patients and ensure admission criteria are met
• Provide clear education to patients and families regarding procedures and expectations
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR

Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications
