Job summary

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency seeks Oceanographers to receive, analyze, deconflict, and disseminate bathymetric data for Safety of Navigation obligations. You will maintain data and metadata accuracy, and provide customers with conflate and precise geospatial products.

This role requires experience with hydrographic data, GIS, and the ability to present results clearly to leadership and external partners. Strong analytic, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydrographic or bathymetric data collection, manipulation, feature extraction, or attribution.
• Experience using Geographic Information System (GIS).
• Experience developing and presenting written, visual, or oral reports to leadership and other audiences.
• Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues with geophysical data.
• Experience capturing and addressing internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and deconflict bathymetric data to support SoN obligations.
• Populate and maintain bathymetry data and metadata in databases.
• Confer with customers to develop clear, realistic product and service requests.
