Job summary

Shaner Hotels is hiring a Sand Bar Bartender for SpringHill Suites Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront. You will take orders, prepare drinks and light meals, and ensure clean, well-stocked beverage outlets in a premier oceanfront property.

The role requires at least one year of restaurant/Beverage experience, readiness to work weekends/holidays, and familiarity with safety/compliance standards. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, benefits include growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications.
• Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
