Job summary

Harrison Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Holiday Inn VA Beach North, located on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The role involves maintaining hotel facilities, completing inspections, and assisting with renovations as needed.

A strong emphasis is placed on safety and guest experience. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years in building maintenance or related engineering, with preferred hotel/hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of practical experience in building maintenance or a related engineering field.
• Experience with hotel or hospitality maintenance operations preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and building systems operations.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Perform daily inspections of public areas and facilities to identify maintenance concerns.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure maintenance projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
