Position Overview

SGL is seeking a skilled Ocean Product Pricing Manager, Export to join our team. We’re looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and experienced professional who will play a key role in developing competitive pricing strategies and fostering strong relationships with station managers. This position will collaborate closely with the Ocean Freight team to support and manage high-volume opportunity requests across the North America region.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete and submit assigned RFQ tenders based on direction from Ocean Product Management, ensuring competitive bids by selecting ocean carriers that offer the best balance of cost, service, and reliability.
• Support key product and pricing initiatives at regional and global levels.
• Address service-related issues with ocean carriers, such as delays, capacity shortages, or poor service levels, to ensure that disruptions are minimized
• Execute strategies which support the growth of ocean volumes, and enhance the development of the ocean product.
• Responsible for supporting carrier development, pricing, analyzing of carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and supporting carrier service issues.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ocean freight forwarding
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (preferred)
• Experience in project management, process development, or process mapping (preferred)
• Strong business acumen and analytical thinking
• Highly self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a drive to elevate both product and company performance
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English at a professional business level
• Team player
• Proficient user in MS Office, especially Excel

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Work Authorization/security Clearance Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must pass TSA eligibility screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000 to $110,000 Annually

Schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)
