The Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) team is seeking an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Business Analyst II to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a customer-facing, startup-like environment within Amazon, ideal for someone motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial setting seeking to make an immediate impact.

The candidate should be able to:

1. Be highly analytical, justifying decisions with data.
2. Handle a high degree of ambiguity effectively.
3. Break down complex problems into manageable parts.
4. Define logical, step-by-step approaches to achieve ambitious goals.
5. Be comfortable with processes and process analysis/design.
6. Influence stakeholders using data and facts, without formal authority.
7. Manage relationships with varied stakeholders to earn their trust.
8. Have a good understanding of Macro and SQL with hands-on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Establish robust processes to drive improvement projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
• Identify, plan, and execute automation initiatives within the team.

• Support business growth with innovative, cost-effective solutions in constrained environments.
• Scale existing processes by identifying and implementing automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve and analyze large datasets using SQL, Excel, and other data management tools.
• Transform data into accessible, actionable business information for stakeholders worldwide.
• Monitor existing metrics and develop new ones, collaborating with teams to identify improvements.
• Support ad-hoc analyses and escalations.
• Design and implement reporting solutions and dashboards for effective decision-making.
• Assist cross-functional teams in executing existing programs.
• Lead small to medium operational enhancement projects.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in business or financial analysis.
• 3+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivot) and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in defining requirements and deriving insights from data and metrics.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and making business recommendations.
• 3+ years in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivot) and Tableau.
