Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in good standing in any state or DC (New England state preferred).
• 2+ years of relevant experience in ocean law, policy, or related area; direct ocean law experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Devise and execute legal and policy strategies to advance CLF’s advocacy goals in fisheries, habitat and biodiversity protection.
• Represent CLF in litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Comment on administrative rules, state and federal permits, and agency actions.
• Advise community and advocacy groups on legal and policy matters.
• Coordinate with partners to develop a long-term ocean conservation initiative and strategies.
