Job summary

Travelers Inland Marine seeks an Account Executive Officer to manage profitability and growth of a designated book, underwriting complex accounts and negotiating terms. You will build strong internal and external partnerships to drive sales and align with Travelers’ risk appetite.

Travel to meetings with agents will be required. The role requires deep inland marine knowledge, strong communication, and CPCU designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with inland marine.
• Deep knowledge of inland marine products and local market.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relations with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Engage with external agents/brokers to market Travelers products.
• Travel as needed to meet with agents and brokers.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD to grow region/group sales.
