DSV in Boston is seeking an Ocean Import Supervisor to lead the import operations team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive timely, cost-effective shipment delivery. You will supervise ocean import coordinators, coordinate with carriers, and mentor staff on import regulations and procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years in ocean import operations with supervisory experience. A bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is preferred; SAP and ERP experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in ocean import operations, including supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising ocean import coordinators and coordinating with carriers and internal/external stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the ocean import department.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
• Supervise a team of ocean import freight forwarders.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
• Resolve issues related to customs, documentation, and shipment delays.
• Coordinate with the ocean carrier, trucking companies, and other service providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the transportation management system.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on import regulations and procedures.
• Prepare reports and metrics related to import operations.
