Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a Freight Forwarder (Ocean Import) in Atlanta. You will manage the end-to-end ocean import process, including customs clearance, carrier bookings, cargo tracking and delivery to the final destination, while communicating proactively with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates bring experience in freight forwarding or logistics, knowledge of ocean freight regulations, strong organizational skills and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
• Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
• Manage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
