A well-established global logistics and freight forwarding company is seeking a skilled and organized Ocean Import Coordinator to support its import operations in the Philadelphia region. This role is ideal for someone experienced in international shipping, documentation, and customer service within the freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate full-cycle ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery
• Handle all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and arrival notices
• Work closely with customs brokers to ensure smooth and compliant clearance
• Communicate with shipping lines, truckers, and clients to manage timelines and resolve issues
• Track and trace shipments, updating clients and internal systems in real time
• Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and company procedures

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in ocean import operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
• Strong understanding of international shipping terms (Incoterms), ocean documentation, and carrier coordination
• Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes) a plus
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
