• Complete billing, file management, and operational administration in a timely manner.
• Build strong relationships with customers, overseas partners, and service providers.
• Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Due to continued growth, the business is looking to strengthen its New York operations team with an experienced Ocean Import Specialist who can take ownership of international shipments from arrival through final delivery.

About the Role

This is a fully onsite position based in New York, focused on managing international ocean import shipments from start to finish.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating every stage of the import process, working closely with overseas offices, steamship lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers to ensure cargo moves efficiently and compliantly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their files and thrives in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
