Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in the United States (New Jersey) is seeking an Ocean Export Supervisor to lead the ocean export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies while managing a team of freight forwarders.

You will coordinate with carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to deliver shipments on time and cost-effectively. The role requires 3–5 years in ocean export, strong communication, and familiarity with SAP, ERP, and TMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years of experience in ocean export operations, including supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of export regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the ocean export department.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
• Supervise a team of ocean export freight forwarders.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
• Resolve issues related to customs, documentation, and shipment delays.
• Coordinate with ocean carriers, trucking companies, and other service providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the company’s transportation management system.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on export regulations and procedures.
• Prepare reports and metrics related to export operations.
