DSV – Global transport and logistics in Itasca, USA, is seeking an Ocean Export Department Manager to oversee the export process for ocean cargo. You will manage relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and high service levels.

Responsibilities include shipping documents, customs clearance, bookings, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable for leading a team of ocean export coordinators and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Prior ocean exports and supervisory experience highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee ocean export process: shipping documents, customs clearance, and bookings.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, brokers, and service providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party providers.
• Address customer inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Stay updated on ocean freight regulations and export controls.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Identify process improvements to reduce costs and enhance satisfaction.
• Monitor KPIs: cargo delivery times, costs, service quality.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and improvements.
