Job summary

Bio Behavioral Institute in Great Neck, NY is offering a 12-month Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on OCD, anxiety, and ERP. This full-time, in-person fellowship provides supervised clinical experience across outpatient and intensive outpatient care with exposure-based treatment.

The role aims to develop advanced competencies in OCD and anxiety specialty care, with potential pathway to staff psychologist roles, including supervision toward licensure, professional development, and research

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or PsyD in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
• Internship: Completion of doctoral internship by the start date.
• Licensure: Eligibility for a New York State limited permit.
• Interest in OCD and Anxiety: Strong interest in CBT, ERP, OCD, anxiety disorders, and evidence-based treatment.
• Clinical Skills: Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, organization, and warmth.
• Adaptability: Interest in working with patients who may require intensive or higher-frequency care.
• Long-Term Fit: Interest in building a longer-term clinical home and openness to a multi-year career path with BBI after the fellowship year.

Responsibilities

• Provide CBT and ERP: Treat OCD, anxiety, and related disorders using evidence-based approaches.
• Participate in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Provide care for patients with moderate to severe symptoms.
• Conduct Real-World Exposures: Lead in-vivo, office-based, home-based, and community-based exposures.
• Individual and Family Work: Provide individual therapy, skills-based interventions, and family/collateral work.
• Group Programming: Co-lead or participate in skills groups and OCD support programming.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside supervisors and team members to coordinate care.
• Supervision and Didactics: Participate in case consultation, didactics, and clinical supervision.
• Contribute to Program Development: Support protocol development, research, or program improvement projects.
